Classic Play and Rock Music

Today was a fantastic day. It began with our cleaning lady coming to the flat to clean, so we started off refreshed. Natalie and I left around noon to run some errands and such before class. Today was the first day of our Art History class. When I signed up for this class, I was nervous about this class because I am not too good at art, but after seeing what this class has in store, I am really excited. I finally have a chance to be creative in a way that most classes won’t allow me. We are going to go see a lot of art museums and exhibitions throughout London. After class, Katie, Katie, Natalie, Rebecca, and I went out to Hammersmith so that we would be close to Lyric, where the play was held.

While in Hammersmith, we ate at a great little pub right off the Tube. We wandered around for a while and then made our way to Spring Awakening. I was completely blown away with the show!!! It was such an amazing performance and the music was beyond fantastic. I think that it was really well done and I would love to see it again. The nudity was very brief, and it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I think they did a great combination of the classical 1891 play and rock music. I can’t wait to see another musical while in London!
